Japanese Iaido is the art of Samurai Swordsmanship.
It is very deeply rooted in tradition, discipline of the
mind and body and respect. You will start the program
working with a wood bokken learning the various cuts and
techniques. Only after many months of training and the
instructors approval will you then move to training with a
live blade.
There is no “rank” associated with this art, only levels of
proficiency and experience that are represented through the
traditional Japanese headband worn by the student.
The
class is taught by Ms. Tracy Perry. Ms. Perry is a Chun Kuk Do 1st degree black belt and has 4 and half years
experience completing second level, second journey in Iaido
under Master Rycerz from Wheeling, WV.
Iaido class is every Saturday at 2pm and is open to teens
and adults with instructor approval.
For further information, you can
call or email, but we recommend
stopping by during this class time to meet the instructors
and view a class. |
